I currently live in Blacksburg, S.C. where I was born and raised. I grew up on the lake fishing and have dreamed of being a professional fisherman as long as I can remember. As I became older my inner drive and determination became stronger and stronger to make my dream a reality. During high school I played both basketball and baseball which limited my fishing time or as I like to say, my training time. After graduating in May of 2000 I enrolled at Clemson University to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. While at Clemson, my fishing career began to take shape and my dream looked more like it could become a reality. I graduated in May of 2004 from Clemson University with a Civil Engineering Degree and immediately took a job with the State Department of Transportation to save as much money as possible with hopes of eventually fishing full time. It is during this time that I started my quest to qualify for the FLW Tour by fishing the Stren Series and the FLW Tour as an amateur. Fortunately, I won the points title as an amateur in my first year on the FLW Tour thus qualifying me to fish professionally. I decided to quit my job in March 2006 to pursue a career in fishing full time. I have recently completed my fifth full year as a professional gaining valuable experience along the way.
