Ziehmer, who serves as the eighth director of the Missouri Department of Conservation since its formation in 1937, will talk about what is happening in Missouri with the Bass Pro World Fishing Fair and U.S. Open Bowfishing Championship. Morgan, an associate professor in the School of Natural Resources at the University of Missouri, has an idea to slow the spread of Asian carp in the Midwest and fight back: If you can’t beat ‘em, eat ‘em. Morgan will discuss his plan to get people to overcome their reluctance to eat carp as well as the health benefits of the meat. In addition to Morgan’s efforts to commercialize carp as a viable food source, he will explain how Schafer Fisheries in Illinois has developed a process to mostly debone the fish.

Quaca, host of Pig Man: The Series on the Sportsman Channel will talk about his recent auto accident and road to recovery. He’ll also discuss the importance of hog hunting and its impact on conservation.
