Our first guest, John Arway will tell us about the “S.O.S—Save Our Susquehanna!” a campaign by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) to fund water and soil conservation projects along the Susquehanna River, where young smallmouth bass have been plagued by illness and elevated death rates. Arway also talks about the history of the PFBC and its 150th Anniversary this year as one of the country’s oldest conservation agencies.
Tim O’Neil discusses the Florida Fish and Wildlife Foundations mission to partner with FWC to ensure the conservation and enhancement of Florida’s fish and wildlife resources. As a citizen support group O’Neil addresses the challenges of conservation with reduced budgets and declining revenue streams. He’ll talk about the payoff and the power that citizens have in supporting Florida’s fish and boating by simply purchasing a Florida fishing license. Tim also shares details about the statewide “I Do” fish campaign and how Bass Pro Shops is involved with the program
