Schiefelbein and Knottek Win MWC on The Detroit River

Travis Trepanier was trolling for walleyes in 20 feet of water and was finished fishing for the day, so he was reeling in the offshore planer board really fast when the fish hit the #9 flicker shad he was trolling!! After a 15 min fight ( Travis was using 12 pound Berkeley Trilene 100% fluorocarbon professional grade leader line), they got the fish in the boat. The fish was 45" long and had a 21" girth!!

Walleye charter trip, Lake Of The Woods Minnesota out of Border View Lodge. Lots of walleyes were caught and even the occasional big perch. This fish was caught vertical jigging in twenty eight feet of water on a three quarter ounce jig tipped with an emerald shiner.

Rick Henriksen and Tom Zollar weighed 18.6 to take the win at the MWS on Winnibago.

This fish was one of many walleyes caught on the Rainy River in Minnesota over a week ago. One of the landings used to access the Rainy River is Birchdale Landing witch was cleared of ice as of the 3rd of April.
The bite on the Illinois River out of Spring Valley improved during the recent Masters Walleye Circuit Tournament as quite a few 5 fish limits came to the stage despite brutally cold and snowy conditions. Clayton Freiburger and Mike Bisdorf put together two solid days weighing 18-15 to take the MWC Spring Valley trophy and a check for $16,000.00.
Pro Walleye Fisherman Dewey Stewart with a 13 pound walleye he caught on a half oz Echo Tail. Dewey was vertical jigging on the Detroit River.

Will Dykstra with Tightline Outdoors guide service holds a nice walleye he caught while fishing the Chatfield Reservoir in the Denver metro area.The fish was just over 32 inches and had a 18.5 inch girth.
Will was fishing with two other Tightline Outdoors guides, Ron Lowry and Matt Endsley. The guides were trying to pattern a good bite as they wrapped up the open water walleye season. This was the biggest walleye they have ever put their hands on. The fall pattern was jigging raps on hard bottom. Will says this fish is evidence that trophy walleyes exist all across North America.
Shawn Kahut & Brett Walser take the win at the 2017 Mercury Marine National Walleye Tournament with a total weight of 31.42 lbs. The team was fishing a combination of flies and jigs to put the winning weight in the boat. They took home a new 18' tracker ready to roll rigged with a 200 Verado, trolling motor and sonar worth over $35000 and a check for $4000.
This fish was caught and released while fishing on the Rainy River just out of Baudette Minnesota. The Rainy River is a well known spot to chase walleye and sturgeon just as the ice is going out on Lake Of The Woods.
Pro angler Korey Sprengel and his day two co-angler hoist four out of their five walleyes that they weighed in on day two of the National Walleye Tour that was held on Lake Winnebago. Korey weighed a two day total bag of 35.33 pounds for the win.

Logan Lynch of Eldorado WI and Ryan Morgan of Fond Du Du Lac took the win at the 2018 Mercury Marine National Walleye Tournament held June 9th & 10th. They won $4,000 cash and a new fully rigged 18' Tracker.
