We trekked over 1/2 a mile through rocks and thick brush to get to this location. Most fishermen come to this spot by boat, and fish offshore. We don't have a boat, so we had to walk.
I was about 20 yards away when my wife said she was, "Stuck again." I saw her walking back and forth on the shore trying to unstick the expensive lure.
I was coming down to help when she said it came free. Then suddenly, she noticed that it was moving, and said, "I think it a fish! It's moving!" Then, "Hey! It's HUGE! Help me!" After she pulled it in, it measured 24.5 inches long and 5 pounds.
It was a large female, and we let her go after taking pictures.
